  • Faculty of Natural Sciences

    The Faculty of Natural Sciences was established in 1981. The faculty offers various diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes. Its undergraduate programmes include B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Vocational), B.A. (Hons.) and Bachelor of Information Technology (B.I.T.). At the postgraduate level, the faculty offers Postgraduate Diplomas, M.Sc., M.A., and Master of Software Systems (M.S.S.) courses. The faculty has following departments:

  • Faculty of Education

    Teachers' Training Institute was established in 1938 under the leadership of Dr. Zakir Husain .Later, it was renamed as Teachers' College. The College initiated Teacher Education Programme for Art & Craft Teachers and in Art Education. It also organized post graduate course in Education and Art as well as research in Education. The Teachers' College has since been reconstituted into the Faculty of Education with the following departments:

  • Faculty of Engineering and Technology

    This Faculty was established in 1985 .Its undergraduate programmes include B.Tech. in Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering, and Computer engineering; B Arch; and as continuing programmes for in-service engineers, it offers BE in Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, and Electronics & Communication engineering. It also offers postgraduate programmes, M.Tech (Electrical Energy Systems Management), M.Tech (Environmental Science and Engineering), M.Sc (Electronics) and MBA (for details of MBA Program click here). The Polytechnic offers day and Evening course for Diploma in Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, and Electronics & Communication engineering.

    The Faculty plans to introduce postgraduate courses in Geotechnology, Structures, Water Resources, Energy Management, Industrial Automation, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Industrial Engineering Ergonomics and Digital Systems in the future.

  • Faculty of Law

    The Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia was established in 1989. At the initial stages, a three-year LL.B. Course was introduced.

    In addition to the LL.B. Three Year Course, the Faculty is also running an LL.M. Four Semester Course presently in three streams, i.e., Personal Laws, Corporate Laws and Criminal Laws and a Ph.D. programme.
